I managed to get my prestigious society kit custom installed in the Lexus GS460. They put the switch in place of the coin holder. Sewell supplied the wrong part for the blank switch cover, but my installer was able to fabricate a blank, colour match it and then mount the PS switch in there. It seemed like a lot of effort though so I'm not sure I'd recommend it for DIY.

This location is awesome because its quickly accessible from armrest. I use it a lot to control my ipod using the SL2i kit I also have. Also good for dialing numbers and searching the nav directory. With this kit, I find Lexus touch interface is awesome - so much better than the BMW/Benz/Audi/Infiniti systems.

The work was done by Technicar, and I highly recommend them - they did my 9500ci install in the mirror 2 months ago.

 

Wow that is the cleanest install I've seen on one of these kits. If I had an installer like that in the Bay Area I might just do it!

This is unrelated. This is a nav/tv motion override.

It allows you to use the navigation controls (e.g. enter an address) and the bluetooth controls (e.g. dial a number on the keypad) while the vehicle is in motion. It also allows you to play DVD movies on you mark levinson while the vehicle is in motion.

A lot of us get this because its crazy that the electronic nanny won't let your wife program the navigation while you are driving.

There is also a less expensive version of this from beatsonic.

 

Batman, is the PS kit plug and play like the Beatsonic is said to be?
