Doing a retrofit is some much easier nowadays with those brackets. I remember when I did my retrofit years ago, I had to mount the projector onto the reflector bowl. There was so much more work involved, that's why it was so expensive.

dont give up just yet.
Wait..... Its a screw????? I've been turning the heck out of those 8mm sockets on the back....... I need a pic of what screws it is.... Lol if I can get that I'm going to adjust it tonight. I had given up and was just going to continue blinding ppl lol

its not a screw. The 8mm socket has a sprag attached to the head. If you look straight down, you'll see them. You can use a flat head or phillips and it will turn it from the top. There should be holes on the body of the car (right above them) that you can stick a driver through to reach them.

yea that'll work, here are some pics for you:

if you look closely you see the sprag:

another view:

heres the other one which is a bit more tricky to get to, look closely, you'll also see the sprag here:

as you can see here, you have to get at it at an angle:

with both of these, you should see a hole of some sort on the frame of the car above it that you can stick a long screwdriver through

Yup i noticed the path for it. It was actually kind of clever... im amazed more and more with this car everyday at the ingenuity of the engineers who built them. man they think of everything

thats why you adjust the projectors all the way in so you cut enough However, better to have too little rather than too less
