Default Roof Spoiler

Gday. How do people attached their roof spoilers to the rear glass? If double-sided tape, which brand please?

This was answered many times on the forum OP, please utilize the search option.

The best option is 3M tape (the red one)... See if you gan get a glass epoxy as well. That also is an extra additive to make it stonger...

Use the same black shtuff they use for windshields... If you use 3M, make sure you put a layer on the back of the spoiler AND on teh window itself separately. Its MUCH more secure cause it will stick to glass much better AND will stick to the spoiler real good by itself. Once its on good, sticking it to itself is much easier than trying to stick it from just the spoiler itself... (hope that makes sense)

You should definitely use 3M Automotive Adhesion Promoter.

Clean surface with glass cleaner ---> Wipe surface and spoiler with rubbing alcohol ---> Apply 3M RED double-sided tape onto spoiler ---> Wipe adhesion promoter onto glass surface ---> Mount spoiler onto glass

I did mine at night and laid weights on the spoiler overnight to make a tight bond on the glass.

I don't understand the hold up but if anyone has the info let us all know so we can represent. i know it was a copyright infringement thing at first but come on there are plenty of talented people on here to come up with a new one, right? Let's ROLL!!

Thanks everyone for your help. Apparently the correct 3M tape is 3M 06397.

See http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawe...6EVs6E666666--

So I make an enquiry ... sorry, this is not available in Australia. DAMMMMMM.

Can someone please sell me a couple of feet of this stuff?

Thanks, David

Thanks for the quick reply.

This is the cheapest I can get - shipped to Australia:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3M-Au...item58852626d6

10 yards: US$19.44 + US$27.50 shipping. Total US$46.94

Happy to purchase a yard for say US$10 including postage. Immediate payment via Paypal.

Cheers, David
