Ok, so I have a list of high output alternators that exist, but now I want input on the output actually I'd like to see what your experience was like with what you chose. I've always been an Ohio Generator fan (before they decided to sell out) and have moved on to Iraggi, however dont like what I've heard with peoples experience with communications.

Iraggi
MechMan
XSPower
DCPower
Powermasters
Powerbastards

I'd like to know what brand you have and how long you've had them. Also, do you monitor your voltage when under stress (like I do) I'd like to know your before and after numbers after stress during idle. Thanks.

I've never used one but, I'd be interested in finding more info so I'll just watch and listen when someone posts.

dunno if any vendors on here do them....

i got mine from the steve meade forums or iraggi is also on ebay.

i paid 579 for my new (not rebuilt or a core return) 330 amp alternator and 99 for the lifetime warranty

here is dom's page from steve meade forums but he even tells u not to PM him as he's low to answer on there and its easier to email him

i decided to go with iraggi after i found out that steve meade with his 20,000 watt and 30,000 watt trucks use them (yes i did say 20,000 and 30,000 watts)

i recently called mechman and they told me they dont carry anything for gs's =(

dc power doesnt have anything on their site for gs's either, i tried calling also, but they never answer.
powerbastrads seems good, im looking for advice on their alts specifically for our gs's. on their description of the 220 alt for gs, it says its "universal" for any import or domestic. then it says some mods might be needed... which makes me wonder.
maybe its cus im looking for the most simple instal i can get, so far iraggi seems like the best, but they dont have any specs on their ebay sites

Anyone have any experience from the one from Lextreme? Linked. Too bad they don't have the 175amp one anymore. Also, does anyone know if the alternator cable for a 2001 the same as the 2003?

I talked to DC personally (and friends shop has close relations with them) they do have them for the GS. You may look at the ones for the supra since its the same engine. Also, just found out that you CAN NOT get an alternator bigger than a 220a for the GS300. Because of the 'pin style' mount it has, its not possible to make them that big. Iraggi claims to be able to make a 260a for the 300, however I'm pretty skeptical, I'm pretty sure that is achieved with a smaller pulley which is not a good idea. Also a local shop whom introduced me to them just dropped them for DC do to frequent fires in the engine bays. In all the cases the inside electronics are catching fire. happened to 3 of their customers and 2 of their employees.
