DIY : Serpentine Belt "hope this helps"
hey fellow CL Members, I've been tryna work this out help by taking pictures of replacing the serentine belt on a 2001 Lexus GS430, here it goes...

use the 14MM wrench heavily "belt tensioner" turn the drive socket haha i call it the "wrench" right to tighten up the bolt than the pulley should lower down for the belt to be removed

follow the diagram starting from top sides then to the bottom and where the last bottom pulley cant be tuck in, you would have to use that 14MM Drive socket wrench, where the bolt was to loosen it up than tuck it in

dont worry near the end .. but yeah .. now its inspection time after the new belt is in. MAKE SURE DO NOT START THE ENGINE RIGHT AWAY!! inspect make sure all the pulleys and belts in correct order inside the walls of the pulley

and at last after making sure the belt is in place, and re install the air duct plastic and all good =] it litallerilly took me about 15 mins for the whole job.. and yes i was doing it in the COLD weather it was about 20 something chills blowing around haha

It's very nice to see the pictures step by step.
I need to do this this week.
I haven't not any work on the car except for filter changes, but this looks simple enough or is it that I'm underestimating this job?
How about putting the new belt on? How much to I tighten up the bolt?
I have seen a post about over tightening the belt or something like that.

Which way is correct?

From what I can see the 300 is Clockwise and the 430/400 is Counter Clockwise.
