It fits inside the trunk light fixture utilizing a bulb adapter. Bright as can be - clean and easy install!
Pics please - would love to see a night-time lit up picture. Even though you can't see the LED strip, it bothers me knowing it is there.

Looks great! Just as bright as the LED light strip. The only thing I dont like is the light color temp is kinda yellowish. Can you get the same thing in pure white? Preferbly 5000k or 6000k color temp.

Is the bulb adaptor something you have to buy separately or is it something included with the $8.00 light?

Yes - open fixture, plug in light, close fixture and enjoy a bright trunk!

Just ordered the SMD12 Board in Warm White like you have Ted.

The SMD12 is 118 lumens, which is equivalent to a 15 watt incandescent light bulb and that will really light up the trunk when it's pitch dark. I couldn't believe the OEM trunk light - they might as well have not even put a light in there... A match would be better!

is this the smb12 on a 4gen GS? Want to make sure that it fits in the fixture.

tedbird's car is a 2014 GS 350 AWD according to his profile. So yes, the aftermarket SMD-12 LED light board fit inside his 4GS OEM trunk light enclosure, and he was able to install the OEM lens for a clean look. That's what I'm counting on anyway!
