Default GSF on Uhaul trailer

Has anyone been able to get their GSF on a uhaul trailer? I'm about tow my car tomorrow for a 100 mile trip and reserved a uhaul trailer but I didn't think about if the front bumper will clear the lips of the trailer.

Example being, there is a lip on the front of the trailer (tongue) and it is a 6 inch lip to stop the front wheels from going forward. The specifications for the GSF says minimum ground clearance is 5.1 inches. My car is 120 miles away so I can't measure the front bumper/lip clearance.

So anyways, has anyone been able to sucessfully without issues get the GSF on the trailer?

Years ago I did a full drive on trailer from UHaul for a 1968 GTO Convertible I bought. That beast barely cleared the ramps on the way up. And I'd bet you are using the same equipment I did back then.

Will be close. Just get it half way on the trailer, then use a 2x6 or 2x8 to put infront of all the tires. Then drive up on them....will raise the car up a few inches.

Welp, looks like the GSF will fit onto a standard uhaul auto transport without any clearance issues whatsoever. Just posting an update in case anyone searches this forum on this topic. I used boards to get car on the trailer ramps but didn't need them as there were well more than 2 inches of clearance. Also on the front of the trailer, I placed boards where the front tires go but there were more than 2 inches of clearance upfront, I didn't even need the boards... So basically, you can get the car on the trailer without any other equipment.

Glad you made it work! Love the Blue! How did it tow considering you're about maxed out on tow rating, correct? 4x4 double cab is rated at 6,400 lbs. Car is ~4,050 lbs, trailer is 2,210 lbs, + your weight and anything else in the car and truck.

No, I took the car in for a new paint-job on the entire passenger side. The nearest Lexus certified collision center was 120 miles away from me which is also conveniently the nearest Lexus dealership to me out here in middle of nowhere Illinois.

I live in middle of nowhere illinois so its flat here, no mountains. So my truck didn't struggle whatsoever, despite being completely maxed out in towing capacity. Also helped that my truck is a manual so I can have more control over the truck.

I am glad I found this post for towing the GSF using a UHAUL car trailer. I am planning on moving back to AZ very soon and dreaded if the car would clear the trailer. This will make the move a lot easier. Thanks for posting this!
