Another M owner! Loved my 07 M45S. Was pretty sure I was getting a Q70 5.6 before getting the GSF, but hated how it drove on the 20" wheels and the interior is seriously dated.

They were good cars...but I wanted to try a Lexus after having 2 M's. I just hate how horrible the resale value was for the M's.

So...the coolest thing about the SHO was:
1> Few people knew what the hell it was,
2> The Yamaha engine had THE coolest story behind its development, and
3> Most importantly and in 1989, you could buy a performance sedan "only" 30 hp shy and at over half the price of an M5!

Great times!

The third gen was spectacular, yamaha heads and tuning on a cosworth block... It was a match made in heaven and one that hasnt been repeated since. Sadly there were some cam problems that lead to the engines grenading but it turned out it was an internal ford call. That small displacement V8 that went up to 7K sounded glorious. I lusted over that car (despite its weird and odd looks) and sadly never managed to get one before Nasser killed it when he went after the premier group (volvo-jag-aston). Nasser (who was a complete idiot) really dropped the ball there. His regime was the start of the end for Ford until Bill jr came in and started his way forward campaign in the mid 00s. Thats when I knew its was all over...

I may get a GS-F next year if I don’t find a good Supra. My list is:

-1993 Lexus SC300
-1999 Saturn SL2
-1999 Chrysler 300m
-2003 Honda Accord Sedan
-2005 Nissan 350Z Convertible
-2005 Lexus LS430 UL
-2007 BMW 328i Coupe
-2001 Lexus ES300
-1999 Lexus ES300

i still own the SC300, LS430, 328i, and 99 ES300. My stepdad has the 350Z now and I sold him the 01 ES300. My 01 ES is the car I miss the most. It was a one owner car that got traded in at my Lexus dealer that I bought from our wholesale lot. I hope to get a Supra soon or hold out for a GS-F, RC-F or IS-F to get traded in next year.
