Default used rims to mount snows

I have a 98 GS400 that I bought used ES300 rims and mounted Blizzak WS50s onto. I now have a 2016 GS F and want to do something similar. I'm a tire/ rim novice. Looks like the 5x114.3 bolt pattern is consistent. I'm running OEM stock 19 run flats. Any advice - will my 2001 ES300 wheel/ tire set up work for Dec-Feb or any other thoughts on how to do this on the cheap?

I second this. I daily drive my GSF and know I'm going to need some snow tires this winter.

Slate67, what part of MO are you in? I'm in Kansas City.

Southeast MO. Not the most snow however a few inches makes rear wheel hills a bit of a challenge.

Your best bet for a rim that will fit for sure is to check the RC F classifieds and get a set of RC F wheels. The biggest issue with any second set of wheels is clearing the brakes at a cost effective price. It won't be as cheap as you'd like.
