2016 GSF CPO with accident
Sometimes when a car disappears from the site, it could’ve been taken to an auction as well. Basically, the dealer probably figured that Lcertifying a hit car will only result in them loosing money.
Yeah I’m picky and I will wait to find one local to buy. 2016th should come off lease very soon. No rush on buying car, I just want something different to drive. I started looking for isf with 30k budget but that changed quickly to 40-45k and now I’m looking for gsf around 50-55k
I’m hoping to stop it there

The mileage isn't much of a problem for it's price, since it's a Lexus.
The only problem is with accident, if it even required door to be replace, it seems to be a pretty bad impact. For that alone I wouldn't really touch it. If it's some bumper scratch or what not, not a big deal.

Here's one for $51k but I don't know what's wrong with it:

The CarFax also states "Engine replaced, short block replaced" at 1,362 miles by Lexus of Queens, Long Island City (N.Y.). Is that normal or a result of the accident?
They lowered the price to $47.9k https://www.hudsonlexus.com/VehicleD...-SC/3174663763
At what point does this become a good buy for someone?

For a point of reference, I just picked up a 2016 GSF with 10.5K miles, an in-service date of 3.2016, for $55K that had been bought and driven in Florida. An accident was reported on Carfax but with no frame/structural damage or air bag deployment. After inspections; mechanical, cosmetic, & PPI, the repair work was verified and fairly minor. Tires had been refreshed and brake pads showed nominal wear. It had been in inventory for about 60 days.
Typically and depending on the price discount, I enjoy buying accident reported cars - assuming the damage was purely cosmetic and repaired appropriately.
Good luck,
Eric

It was traded into a MB dealership and Carfax had an accident reported but with no frame/structural damage or air bag deployment. The dealer had already sprung for a ProView/TruFrame report to verify the extent and quality of repairs. Since I was an out of state buyer, I had another PPI performed (including paint meter) to ensure mechanical, cosmetic, and the ProView report's accuracy. All was well and the car, upon delivery via transport and after wash/wax, essentially looked brand new. Tires had been refreshed and brake pads showed nominal wear. It had been in inventory for about 60 days.
