Premature Lock Up?
Right around 3000 rpm under steady state acceleration my my Torque Converter briefly locks up for a few seconds and then continues to spool up until the next gear. In other words, the RPMS drop 300 or 400 for maybe 4 seconds and then rise to continue accelerating. I have seen other automatic transmissions do this but not alway at the very same point in the RPM range and usually when the converter locks its stays that way unless the is accelerated harder or shifts. This happens in all modes except in full manual were the converter is locked always. I believe is it more prevalent when the car has been driven for a while.
Is this normal for this transmission or does anyone else experience this?

Thanks Dave!
If I had to guess I would say its a pressure issue where one of the seals inside the converter is going bad or an imperfect section in the lock up clutch.
Truthfully, I am hoping its just the way the tranny is programed.
I am just going keep driving it and see if it goes away or gets noticeably worse. Its not really annoying just peculiar.
