@NotnFsport sorry to hear that man, crazy that it went out with no warning at 138k. I just got my diff serviced on my GSF at 60ish k miles & also used Amsoil. That road trip equates to roughly 5k miles total per trip? Lol curious about your MPG
I average about 11 mpgs. Roughly 6k miles when I do my cross country trip.
According to parts.lexus.com for rc f it's possible somehow to buy TVD guts, there are also 2 diagrams, one of them is the same as for gs f. When browsing the other one, with 41201 listed, you will find a section 'what it fits', gs f is in there... complete unit is the same for both, 4110029005 (msrp is a joke or mistake btw, right? Would't this be an alternative for you https://www.amayama.com/en/part/toyota/4110029005 ?). Gs f is not mentioned, however, under details of 41201.. But shouldn't these parts be exactly the same for both cars when they sit deep inside the unit??
..holding my fingers crossed for you.. good luck!
Damn that is cheap!! US price is insane!! I also checked JPcarparts and it's $6300...wtf!

There is another 'cheap' option.. a bit risky maybe even crazy but probably cheaper than JPcarparts: 2016 LEXUS GS-F for Sale | NC - RALEIGH | Tue. Feb 13, 2024 - Used & Repairable Salvage Cars - Copart USA
The final bid won't be higher than $15k (I would be surprised if it gets to $10k..), but you get a lot of parts you can sell (like rear spoiler ~$4k msrp). And the damage seems to be a dream damage for a diff swap - but you never know, not sure what happens to a diff when a car stops like this one on a street lamp... and the auction date is not assigned so it might take a week or a year..
I don't know.. Not sure if I would go that way.. Maybe if I had no other options.. just giving you another option

The part number from Amayama matches my online part number resource. Shipping will be a beast, but at least the price isn't insane like the US Lexus dealers' pricing.

I got quoted $850 for shipping. Also the RCF final drive gear kit is $440 from Japan. US mark ups are insane. $7k vs $24k
Has anyone swapped the TVD for Torsen yet? Will he need new half-shafts or reprogramming?
Definitely need new axles. No way the TVD axles will work with a standard diff shell. If it were me, I'd get a standard diff and stuff the OS Giken spool in it. It's way better than any Torsen I've driven.

I posted this one on the 1st page post #6. Low miles and less expensive.
I chased down this part number and it shows up for a range of 2UR-GSE applications including a "standard" diff in the European GS F. But still no internal parts listed for the TVD.
If you already have the unit apart, measure the spool in it and that will tell you just about everything you need to know. Hopefully it's 220mm spool.
