First Congrats. Second, how many people have kept a car to 200k miles, let alone 300k? Now if you drive 20k miles per year, maybe. I had a 2004 Saturn Vue I bought new, kept it 15 years and 175k miles until I traded it in (or turned it in) on a 2013 GS 450h. After 15 years, I wanted something different. The Saturn still ran great. Made creaking noises, but started and ran because of the Honda V6 engine and transmission in it. As long as car companies keep innovating with new features, the newer car bug will hit. That is what the car companies plan on. Us all wanting something newer and upgraded, no matter how much our current car is working (the new car bug). So enjoy your current car no matter how long you keep it. Not trying to rain on your parade, just my opinion of how long people keep vehicles, which is OK.

AWESOME!!! glad to hear, I want to keep the 4GS for a long time so ill probably just do small mods, if any , and just keep it stock; ill pick up a IS-F or a GS-F for REAL fun . Love it! I have a Honda with 288xxx that still runs great, I'm glad the lexus should last at least as long. Handwash only, baby!

I'm at 127,XXX right now with no issues It's my commuter car lol. I change the oil every 5,000 miles though instead of at 10K
I also have a 2008 Cadillac CTS with over 200k that I still drive around some times. No issues either

I don't care much about new features. 8 out of 10 "new features" is stuff I don't want in a car anyways. Unless it involves more HP or similar, I'm just not that interested. Like I have friends that get all prophetic about apple car play and crap like that, I could care less. Long as I can pump my music through the stereo and answer the phone that's all that matters from that end.
Most peoples idea of "car upgrades" are only small increments. Paying big money for a tiny incremental upgrade is generally setting cash on fire, unless there's something seriously wrong with an existing car. If they "got bored with it" there's an excellent chance that they didn't spend a serious amount of time investigating the new car they bought before they got it, I'll just leave it at that.

about to hit 70k, lol. At the rate I'm driving, I should hit 100k in the next few months, lol.

OP: Congrats on hitting that 100k! Did that with my previous 2GS and snapped a pic as well...i'm sure your 4GS will run strong well into its high mileage years! 58k miles on my '13 which I plan to keep for another 4-5years.
