Default Remote Touch Retrofit Question for 13-15

Not sure if anyone has done it..

Is it easy to retrofit 16+ remote touch (controller) to a 15? I think there could be electronics issue even if physically interchangeable.

At the very minimum I want to replace the wrist rest from incredibly dull looking thing to the stitched one in 16+.

The wrist rest is very easy to remove/replace. Just put your fingers on the front edge, and pull up.

I got mine wrapped in suede.

Does anyone know if the stitched leather one for MY16 fits in the 13-15 Console?

Are you talking about the controller? If so just pull it up and replace it with the new one. They are interchangeable.

I'm confused by what you are trying to swap. The controller piece (small rectangle) is directly replaceable. You don't need to change the whole housing where the controller and wrist wrest are sitting. They both detach from that piece. You wouldn't need the enter or back buttons.

If you are trying to change the whole trim piece (from black to silver) it might physically fit but the enter and back buttons won't have anything to connect to so they won't be functional.

LOL you got me confused.

that rectangle is negligible. by controller I mean entire thing raised above the center console surface.

trying to find part number as well, Lexus stuff seems pricy, so I may just change the wrist rest piece to a stitched leather one.

I gotcha lol. Yeah it may physically fit but note the button cutouts are probably different too. I don't how plug-n-play it would be, probably not worth it. swapping the wrist wrest will make a good visual difference.

I would just swap out the wrist wrest, which is a nice improvement. I can't say definitively, but I would be shocked if the Back and Enter buttons would work. Different hardware and software.

Hi, do you by chance have the part number? I can't find it online. I searched hand rest, wrist rest, but no results. Thanks!

So...does anyone know if the '16 armrest actually fits the '15 console? This seems like a pretty nice upgrade as the 15 armrest looks pretty crappy compared to the 16.

If not, any thoughts on making a 'stitched leather cover' for the '15? I wish I could sew!!!

I wrapped mine in textured carbon fiber
