Default New here... Eventually got my GS

Hi All,

just a thread to introduce myself. Seems like this forum is a great resource and I am sure I would be frequenting it regularly given the vast amount of information.

Anyways. purchased a low mileage 2014 GS in Silver for a steal. Wanted a white one but to be honest. the silver looks much better in the metal! Will post pic or two once I have her in my hands I was trying to find a RX fitting my budget but could not find a great model. Then my eye caught sight of the GS at my budget

Must say. I love my gs. What an insane engine. I feel I can take almost anyone on😂. What a nice drive. Have driven a few bmw's and a nice Merc or two. This feels classy. Almost like driving BMW big straight six performance with Merc e/s class luxury with Rolls attention to detail all in Toyota reliability package! But she is definitely a thirsty lady...

only issue I have is there is no sunglass holder. Can't believe the oversight. Unless there is a hidden space I haven't found yet!

Agreed with that statement, the way I have mine setup reminds me a little of the M3 I had with the engine. It also doesn't have turbos like the other stuff now and its just as fast. I have the apexi accell and use it on the red mode and I have instant throttle response and shifting almost feels like a DCT transmission.

I know, it’s a huge pet peeve for me too. Not enough to go out and get a new car obviously, but yeah.

You can get a visor clip on holder which works well if you wear metal framed glasses because they have a low “height” when folded.

Otherwise, I keep my crappy zip around town sunglasses in the center console with the rest of my stuff and keep a pair of high quality glasses in the glove compartment.

jip. must say I took my sunglass cover and placed it in the centre console for now. Still a pita. Will figure something out

No I still have a few nav/phone system issues... but I am sure I will find a solution there as well. Love the car.
