Default New Owner. Windshield wiper question

Just picked up a new 2017 GS 350 last Saturday and in looking around my car I noticed that the passenger side windshield wiper cannot be fully extended to change the blade. I had to laugh at what the Lexus engineers were thinking. So how do you replace them?

You have to pull up, towards the top of the windshield. Don't pull out...pull UP. It will seem like you're pulling too hard, but it will click into place, and you'll see what I mean. Do it from the passenger side.

Well... don't laugh too soon, do some research. It's a Lexus, not Malibu See YouTube video starting 0:53 min

On all of my last cars you held up on the wiper stalk and it put the wipers into "service mode" glad to know how to change them on this

I'm guessing this is in the owners manual. My ES has the same thing. Leaving them in the up position when temps are 30 and below allow the defroster to help heat them and it reduces ice build up. Of course you West coast guys don't have to worry about that.
