Just a quick question. Been looking for a GS with the LUX PKG and stumbled on a 2013 GS RWD that has 95k miles. The dealership is asking for 22k and I'm hoping to offer 23k OTD. Do you guys think that 23k will be too much for it considering the car has over 30k miles more for its year?

That seems excessive. I just a bought a '14 f sport with 1/4 the miles for 33 list, and my dealership had a' 14 lux package with 50k miles for 27k list.

I think you have room to move if you be stubborn about making a deal.

I understand people's reservations/concerns about higher mileage vehicles, but to me what is more important is what occured during those miles.

There are cars out there that have 10k miles but have been completely abused. My mother in law drives an S8 as a grocery getter. It has very low miles but has been in many accidents, has had major suspension work done because she doesnt look out for crater sized potholes here in the new england area, and is overall in real crappy shape.

My dad, for, example, racks up the miles but he is meticulous about service and is an excellent driver, never getting into crashes and always parks at the far end of the lot so nobody dings his car.

The question you are asking can only be answered with documentation showing what has happened over those miles and/or a thorough unbiased inspection by a technician who is an expert at examining these vehicles.

If it turns out that this car was excellently maintained, i would even go as far as paying 27k for it, but thats just me.

I wouldn't recommend buying this vehicle without a body shop guy looking at it first. Carfax is just a guide line, I won't 100% rely on it. I have seen a car had a severe front end damage, and Carfax only showed minor damage.

The second owner purchased this car from Lexus of Concord as an used car not a Lexus CPO back in 05/2015, and he also bought Lexus Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA) which is extended warranty. There are 3 scenarios:

1st:
It was a leased vehicle, the original owner moved to California, and purchased his own lease vehicle at the end of the lease. That's why he was able to purchase Lexus VSA. The only time You are able to purchase Lexus VSA with over 50K miles is when your lease is up, and you purchase the lease out right. When you purchase your own lease, you will become a second owner because LFS was the first owner during leasing period.

2nd:
The second owner bought this car from Lexus of Concord, and Lexus of Concord didn't certify it. The only reason that I can think of why Lexus of Concord didn't certify this GS was the prior body damage kept Lexus of Concord from certifying this car because it didn't meet Lexus Certification standard. When Lexus of Concord sold this car to the second owner, they only can sell Lexus VSA instead of Lexus Certified warranty.

3rd:
The first owner sold this car to second owner, and have the contract finalized at Lexus of Concord. That's why the second owner was able to buy Lexus VSA at the time of purchase.

My guess is more leaning towards to 1st and 3rd scenario because this GS didn't have Lexus of Concord pre-owned dept. inspection records.

I bought a 2013 gs350 in Nov.2015 with 39k miles for $29k.
It is not a f sport. But is white on black which I wanted.
