Stuck radio volume knob = $10,000 repair?

The reason to buy a Lexus isn't the dealer; it's the *car* so you don't *need* the dealer.
As for crazy replacement components like the radio, there's already a healthy salvage inventory.

That is what I was going to say or if that does not work I might try super gluing something thin to it and then pulling it with pliers, may mess the button up a little but better then paying $10K for a new one or even 300-500 from junkyard/ebay. My power **** was not stuck though, just stopped working.

This is one of the most outlandish estimates I've heard. I understand that the unit is integrated significantly but a better approach for the dealership would be to try to fix the existing radio without replacing it. Investing $10,000 to fix a non-vital engine component seems absurd. I would definitely go to another dealership to hear what their service department says.
Also, any good reputable local shop specializing in car audio should have some experienced folks able to work on it for a lot less.

Simple Fix for button issue
Recently when I pushed the on/off/volume **** to turn on the radio on my 2013 GS450h, the button sank into the dash and would not pop out again. I am not Superman and I pressed the button with normal effort. The radio still works but is always on. I can still control volume with the steering wheel. I took the car into the dealer yesterday expecting a quick fix . I was quite surprised when they told me that the button is integrated into the radio system. The only way to fix the button is to replace the entire radio. The cost of the radio is $9,900. With labor, the repair would be over $10,000. Needless to say, I did not proceed with the repair. I still enjoy my car but am saddened by this minor defect. Anyone have any ideas for repairing a stuck radio **** that will not cost an arm and a leg?

Dude, I would go straight into lawyer mode if they quoted me $10,000 to fix a stuck volume **** at the dealership. Get the service advisor's name, number, email, along with his boss, along with the manager of the whole garage at that dealer, along with the email and phone number of the person who owned the damn dealership. Call Lexus corporate every free second you get from work and ***** about this, like at least twice a day if you have the time.
I know having the time to ***** to corporate about this is the real kicker here if you work full time, have a family, travel, etc. The whole point of owning a Lexus is that they don't bull**** you on expensive out of warranty repairs or waste your time with a ****ty unreliable vehicle that spends a lot of time at the shop.

FYI: Used radios are $300-600 on eBay. I bought a 2014 radio for my 2013 to gain Siri Eyes Free, and it's an easy swap.

So if I purchased a radio unit as a spare for my '15 GS350, it would be plug and play? No plugging in a laptop typing in addresses for the vehicle to recognize the new unit? Is the satellite receiver inside the radio unit? Would that mean a new sat. radio id? The car alarm would work ok cuz the indicator is on the radio?
so I can get a spare radio from eBay, plug it into my car just make sure it's fully functional and if it is, it should work fine?

Uh, unless your radio is special the **** is like $2 to $3. Try lparts.com - I bought mine there and had the dealer install them for free when I took my 4gs in for a service
Whoever quoted you that price should be named and shamed

Unfortunately you are not the first. Here are some threads by others with the same problem. Some have been successful in getting Lexus to warranty it and others fixed it themselves.
