Default 2013 GS odd sound muting issue...

Since a couple days ago, my GS started MUTING sound for about 4 seconds and then gain audio for 20 seconds...

{20 second of sound}, {4 seconds of silence}, {20 second of sound}, {4 seconds of silence}...
does not matter what the sound source is.

It is the oddest thing. Radio, CD, Bluetooth... even the button noises when you select something... (ding sound) they all play fine for 20 seconds and the audio goes silent for about 4 seconds... and comes back again...

Here's what i've tried:
1. Disconnect all audio, ipod, bluetooth
2. Turn Off Bluetooth radio
3. Restart the engine

From what i recall, I DID go into Apps/Info and launched the APP from the car, which is about the ONLY different activity I performed in a long time.

Does this issue sound familiar to anyone?

Interesting build up, when the sound come back, it always comes back to the same volume level.

For example, Bluetooth always comes back to level 34, even if i set it to level 0. or 55...
Radio back to 11..

Off behavior. This is the first I'm reading or hearing of such a instance.

Might be worth getting the dealer to check it out, especially if you can replicate the issue easily.

Dealer stated this was caused by the AMP, they'll replace it.

Does this happen only when listening to music streaming through your phone using bluetooth?

If so, where do you keep your phone when listening to streaming music?

I had a very similar issue to what you are describing before when listening to streaming music. Found out it was due to my bluetooth signal being poor on my phone and when it is in my pocket, sometimes audio drops out and back in depending on where my leg/arm is. When I put the phone closer to the middle of the dashboard, the problem went away.

This only happens with my phone. My wifes phone is fine and the Lexus tech's phone is fine when in the pocket and streaming.

I have an iPhone 6 by the way.

All sounds were muting every 20 seconds, without the phone connected even... it was the AMP power recycling every 20 seconds.
