Default Time to pull Trigger on GS 200t? $11,500 off MSRP

Been wanting up upgrade from my 2014 IS for awhile, and I knew the deals would soon be coming on the 2016 GS as they have not been selling all too well.

Been talking to multiple dealers, and they have been offering $11,500 off sticker right out of the gate.

Anybody own a 200t or looking to buy one? I havent gone to drive one yet, but possibly will this weekend.

For an F sport, nav, and ML? Pretty good for July discount.

Agreed. Great fuel economy but performance is not the same.

You may want to investigate why Lexus is discounting the GS 200t so much. I think you'll learn that not many people want this GS version - a.k.a. poor sales of the GS 200t. As rld14 said; "Drive one, then drive a 350..."

I wish - I can't even find a F Sport within 500 miles of Atlanta - I know the auto magazines all tested one, but I am not sure if Lexus stopped making them....? I see you can build one on the Lexus USA website, but I see none for sale anywhere near me.

And I agree with the try the 350 comments, but coming from the IS 250, I am thinking the 200t would be enough for me, but maybe not....

The F-Sport GS200t's are well--rare... if you want one with a discount maybe special order one with everything and try to get a good deal before 2017's roll out? or just get the 350 tbh

I have no issue with the GS200t, but in the F Sport version it makes no sense (pricewise).

From lexus.com:

GS200t RWD F Sport: $53,285
GS350 RWD F Sport: $54,115

Only $830 separates the two. In the case of the F Sport, the 350 is a no brainer, at least in my opinion.

At the base model level:

GS200t RWD: $45,615
GS350 RWD: $50,000

So at least here you can save some coin by going with the 200t.

I think because of this, they won't push the 200t F Sport very much.

The 350 will blow the 200t off the water. That turbo lag is horrible. The 200 engines shouldn't even make it to the GS line, it's a laughingstock!

There's lots of cars that you can "build" on Lexus' website but they likely don't exist.

Here's a great example of that:

If a base Nightfall/Flaxen 200t is in stock anywhere in America with JUST Nav+Levinson I'll.... I'll... I'll drive a Prius for a week.

Valid - I didn't realize how close they are in price. Makes no sense to even consider going the F route with the 200t.

Also, to whomever mentioned the Nightfall Mica with flaxen - I agree!

Well,

On a GS200t you've got $4,650 lease cash vs $2,500 on the GS350 (At least here in the northeast) and on a retail it's $2,500 vs $1,500 so that does open the delta up a tad.

Also the lease residual is 2 points higher on the 200t.

The GS450h FSport also exist only on paper, at least here in CA I've never seen one. I've seen a non FSport which is probably imported from another state or special ordered.

i have a is200t loaner. turbo lag city. mpg not so great at all for a 4 cyl. engine feels unrefined. coming from a gs350 this is a joke.

Oddly enough I have a 2013 GS450h on the lot, a Lux with ML that I bought online from LFS out of Santa Monica.
