I received the D4S Monday very excited try to install them today, however after open the package found that the top part of bulbs , " Crystal cut is not that straights" Can anyone confirm if this real Ultinon D4S?
I bought these from Nigel a couple years ago. Mine where a straighter cut at the top but definitely not cut flat... I remember looking at that as well but yours seem to be more of an uneven cut. There was a thread that points out ways to spot the fakes all the way down to the original packaging hints. It's here somewhere. All mine checked out from Nigel but there are tons of fakes on these on ebay and amazon.
On this last image ^^^^^ the vertical green blue and purple colors should shimmer when you move the box almost like a hologram.

I compare mine with your. The Insulator tube my is blue your close to purple. And the cut at tip is not flat cut. Other than that same as what you described

This ^^^^^ mine from Nigel were stamped made in Germany. You can't really use that as a gauge though cause you can stamp made in Germany on fakes. If anything you'd need to pay close attention to the spacing and clarity of all the print... but you'd need to have a good image of real bulbs to catch the imperfections.
