Invest in a Porter Cable dual action polisher. Don't try to get those scratches out by hand.

Sorry to see this. I hope it works out right for you.
It does seem like it, doesn't it? These images are painful to watch. I was at a restaurant the other night. Parked at a last spot and stayed as close to the edge as possible. The one on the other side has plenty of room but still put an inch long dent on my front door. The car was pretty new too but I guess some care for their cars more than others.

Ugh I hate that! What is wrong with people?
A least a door dent is easily repairable with PDR.

Thanks to the instructions posted by e39ng, I was able to take my bumper off in less than 20 minutes. I then pulled the sensor out to see if it was damaged, but it looked fine so I put it back in.
To get the scratches off, I used the QUIXX kit which I think is the best scratch remover on the market. I did have to use some touch up paint. It came out pretty good, but it is by no means perfect.....

People that leave crap on the side of the road or don't call in stuff they drop/ attempt to pick it up should be heavily fined for this reason.
Living in SoCal I've seen things from furniture, tires, even ladders on the freeway. Totally unsafe and especially dangerous for us lowered folks

Last New Years Eve I was heading home in my BRAND NEW Golf TDI and a box flew off the car in front of me, I moved to the left to avoid it and it also moved left... Hit my fog lamp at just the right position and kicked it out. I feel your pain...
