Anyone tried removing Lexus paint protection film?
I hate how the dust always builds up on edges, looks like a big scratch across the hood...
I don't drive my car that often, and when I do it's mostly local. So, the paint should be fine without it.
Anyone know how hard is it to remove the film ?

ur going to want to bring it in to a professional to have it removed because it leaves a bunch of glue residue if not done correctly. I actually had mine removed as well and redone by phil at Detailersdomain. He did a much better job as the edges were all tucked in.

All it it takes is one time to put a chip or several in your paint on the hood or front bumper. Cleaning the dust line is a lot easier than having to paint the front of the car and since you're not driving the car that often it shouldn't be that big of a deal .
I don't have the factory paint protection film but I've had A 3M clear bra on all of my cars for the past 8 years or so. It's applied to the car in the same manner that tint is so it would be best to take it to a place that knows how to apply/remove it so that you do not damage the paint.

it should be fairly easy, although you will have adhesive residue left after you pull it off. as stated Phil @ DD does phenomenal work. if you want you can buy Auto Finesse Obliterate (phil sells it) and that will remove the adhesive residue.

+1 I've had mine on my car (G35) for over 9 years and it has saved me numerous times over. One nasty chip without it, and you will not be a happy camper. Most touch up paints make the car look worse. If you are concerned about the line, use a soft toothbrush and some plexus to keep it as clean and as inconspicuous as possible.

I've owned white cars with clear bra and after 3 years there was no yellowing All of the above is based on the assumption that the film used is a quality brand like 3M etc.
