just curious if anyone knows. we are interested in the gs, but wonder if a v8 will coming or not?

No lexus stated that they discontinued the v8 because they were bad sellers. Instead they offering a gs450h with v8 power and fuel economy of a 4 cyl engine.

You could hold out hope for a GS-F .

To be honest, while some may see the powertrain as not competitive (no V8, only a 6-speed), it is more than sufficient and competitive against those in its class. And it comes with the added benefit (for those of us who plan to hold onto our 4GS for 10 years) of confidence in its reliability.

Had they introduced an all-new body AND powertrain, I probably would have leased an A6 and waited a few years.
