Trunk space letdown?
I was browsing thru Flipside909's FB GS4 photos and cant help notice the single trunk photo.
I still have to see the GS4 in person, it seems like the rear trunk space of the GS4 is smaller than the GS3?.
The GS3's trunk space is very small as compared with other cars in it's class - a letdown.
I hope the GS4 has a larger trunk volume...

The very reason why i hated by GS3....The poorly designed, irregularly shaped, small trunk space...Did i say, i HATED the GS3's ill-conceived trunk design!!
Glad to hear there is more usable trunk space

Hehe imho, a difference of more than 40 liters is a welcome..........and this means you can carry one or two more extra golf bags (compared to the 3GS )
Improvement on that aspect indeed

No doubt the measurement standard in Europe is different from the US. ... Anyway, here the 3GS (non-hybrid) is 430 litres. 4GS will be sold as GS450h and GS250. I was shown the 4GS trunk capacity figures for these two and recall that GS450h was in the ball park of 480 litres and GS250 in the ball park of 560 litres (+/- 10 litres). Now 2GS was 515 - 520 litres (Europe). If indeed the figures shown to me by the Lexus rep were correct, the 4GS (except the hybrid) seems to have the largest trunk of any GS before and even the hybrid not too far from the 2GS numbers.

it is 566 VDA, with tire repair kit, as sold in Europe.

That was one of my biggest pet peeves owning a 3rd Gen GS was that that my 04 IS300 had a larger trunk

the 4gs trunk is substantially bigger. not only that, the SHAPE is a far more important factor, and the 4gs trunk shape makes it more useful. not to mention the improvement in the opening
