Front Bumper
Hello everyone my bumper has some wear and tear. Chips, scratches, and most annoying a corner piece missing from an incitement I had with a bore a little while back. I most likely could get the bumper fixed but with a nearly 150k mile car I would just like to get a new one. I have only been able to find one company that sells pre painted bumpers Revo Moto. It is close to 1k for it. Any ideas on what I should do or is it best to just pay the 1k?
Is your goal to do the swap yourself? What color is the car? Some colors will match better than others if not blended at the shop. Mine is obsidian (pure black) and I had my bumper replaced without blending and it looks perfect. My wife's silver car had the same (darn Florida drivers..) and it was a bit off, granted her's was done at a local shop and mine at a certified dealer center.
If it were me, I'd find a local shop that can procure a used OEM bumper and have them paint and blend it. Based on your car having 150k miles, if the hood and fenders are not in great shape, then the new paint likely won't match well. You can always compound and polish to get them as close to a new paint match but depends on the color and your tolerance for a mismatch.

The bumper is very easy to remove and replace. I had mine off a few weeks ago to swap the grille. It was off in less than 30 minutes, granted I don't have parking sensors or foglights. It took more time to swap the grille than remove the bumper.
Considering the color you may be ok getting a prepainted one. FWIW I ordered a prepainted obsidian spoiler and it was a great match.

It seems like a few hundred dollars too high, especially for an aftermarket piece but I would probably buy the same if the paint was a good match.
I have some recent photos here, it's just an F-Sport grille.
