Default GS isn't fast - so why do I speed so much?

Does anyone else feel like their GS is always egging them on to drive fast all the time? I had a Volvo S60 before and it was probably nearly as quick as the Lexus but I never felt the need for speed int hat car.

Weirdness

Every. Single. Time.

This car is just so fun to drive fast and not scary at all, triple digit speed feels like nothing in this car.

So true. I was just going about 112 a half hour before my post and it honestly felt like 90. So much fun.

As I remember the Volvo had a really spastic turbo and I felt like the car was going to break when I put my foot down. The GS just shoves you down the road like you're on tracks.

What's your fastest in the car so far? I've been around 118. My only place to speed is steeply uphill and only 1/2 a mile so I'm always trying to get to 120 but haven't made it yet.

Right? I haven't gotten a ticket since I was 18. Hoping to keep that streak alive.

The engine being NA and the way it builds power is probably more fun to rev out than the turbo in your Volvo was, and it also sounds great due to the sound generator. I'm always parked in the fast lane in this car but I've driven that way with every car I've owned.

No freeways where I live which is a shame because the car is clearly a great high-speed cruiser.

The engine does sound great that's for sure. I guess it's a good tradeoff for the noisy idle LOL.

LOL, I totally agree with your original post. The car just cruises at 80 on the highway and has plenty of pull from there if needed. Not trying to incriminate myself...

I think that's the best part of the car. Cruising in low RPM's is like driving an ES - smooth and buttery, but if you change to a sportier mode and kick it in the ***, she loves it!

IMO anything less than 6s is considered fast. I'm not a fast driver but S+ does sound great. F Sport is fine for local freeway cruising. I find it's not that great for long distant cruising, esp when the tires are less ideal. Luxury version and/or ES, even RX cruise better on long distances. I hope your streak stays strong
