2013 GS350 No Sound
Hello, Car is a 2013 GS350, about 70xxx miles.
Radio unit works, but when turning the volume **** nothing happens. It doesn't show the volume going up or down, and I cant hear any sound when moving the mousepad.
This has happened before and when I changed the radio fuses that fixed it. However, when I changed them this time, it still doesn't work.
I changed both radio fuses and the multimedia fuse from under the glove box, is there any other one to check?
Or could it be the amp is bad. Any way to test it?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a bad amp...Does the navigation voice/guide/chimes make any sound through the driver door speaker?

I think its the Head Unit = Source, because the Radio is not indicating volume going to the amp. Normally when amps go, you get some sound of a sort, be it a crack, pop, hum or whatever.
Does any other source selection play and/or make noise of any kind like aux, cd, or other? I could be wrong but I don't see how the amp could prevent the Headunit source from displaying volume level, so I don't think the amp is getting a signal to amplify.

Another reason why I thought it could be the Head Unit here. But you are correct, I would make sure it matched exact (amp), buy from a Seller on ebay with Free 30 day return and see what happens? That would let you know if........ the amp you bought was known to be good.

Water got to my amp a few months ago and I had the same things happen. I just dried it out the best I could and luckily after a couple of days it started working again. No issues since. If no water damage maybe a connection inside got loose and needs to be soldered, idk, just a thought. Good luck!

put some sort of towel or silica pack or cover the little area with the amp clamp downs to prevent moisture from getting in.
