Default 2014 GS350 F-Sport Grill

What's the best way to remove the chrome trim on the front Grille?

I want to remove it and then paint it matte black. I prefer to not go the plasti-dip route. Did that already and it's chipped a lot and looks terrible now.

I've attached picture to reference what I am referring to.

Thanks in advance!

The best way is to remove the bumper. There are two screws behind the bottom right/left portion of the chrome trim i've circled below. When I installed an aftermarket grille, I didn't realize there were screws there and I ended up damaging the bottom portion where the screws line up.

Although, I did remember reading on a few older threads that some folks were able to get to those screws on the trim without taking off the bumper - but its challenging:

Thanks @AJLex19

Hopefully I am able to do it without removing the bumper. Don't want to go through the hassle. Will let you know the outcome!

Once you remove the plastic cover at the top of the engine bay you can bend some things and stick a small screwdriver to remove these screws. I've done it before, not too hard.
