Need help with swapping out shift boot
I have a 2013 GS 350; currently the shift boot is starting to crack due to the hot weather down here. It's been extra hot the last 2 weeks in New Orleans; I noticed that my shift boot leather is starting to crack. I saw a few threads showing how to take apart the center to get to the boot, but I'm scared to break a tab or a clip in the process. Any tips for taking apart the center area? I've only worked on my older cars like my 2000 ES, my 2002 Sentra, 2000 Accord, and 2013 G37. Those were pretty straight forward, but looking at the guides for the GS 350, it looks pretty difficult to do. I was gonna be lazy and just slide a new shift boot over the existing one to avoid taking the center area apart lol.
