Default Joe-z Full catback exhaust; gasket rust already??

Hey guys, I've had my Joe-Z full catback exhaust installed for roughly 2 months now. Went to check everything under the car today and noticed that its rusting between the connections. Anyone with the same exhaust have this issue? Is it normal for exhaust gaskets to rust? Just a little confused as the mod in japan said it included "4 High End Exhaust Gaskets"

I guess that gasket was raw steel and not stainless or aluminum. Looks like the rust from the gasket is spreading to the exhaust pipe, but probably just harmless surface rust. If you have to remove that exhaust one day you might have a hell of the time doing that with the rust, but I'm sure a few wacks of a mallet/hammer is all you need.

That, and/or perhaps the nuts and bolts aren't torqued enough so the gasket isn't crushed enough between the axle back and mid pipe

yea im not sure what type of gasket it was, it was pretty soft and flexible. It's a stainless steel exhaust so shouldn't really have to worry about rust..i hope

I thought of that as well but then i remembered once i had everything in place (installed). I warmed up the car and then re-checked all the nuts and bolts and tightened them a bit more with a breaker bar just in case the heat loosened them up after initial install
