super helpful!!! I really wish these cars had more performance mods available I absolutly love the look of the 13-15 gs, its beautiful!! but I wish it was easier to make it faster!! what did you mean by "red overlays for the amber section of the tails"?
A lot of us around here have done this - I know there's a build thread of another Red owner with pics and should be a decent amount of examples in the "what have you done to your GS today" thread (I think I posted pics in there of mine as well)
You actually can make these cars a bit faster without a supercharger. The 2is, and 3is guys already doing it. Surprise GS guys aren’t aware of it yet…lol
You’ll need a FULL intake mod, along with a full exhaust, and tune.
keywords: FULL Intake
Sorry for keeping it mysterious…😂

You are right about the IS & RC guys on the 3.5. This GS forum is not into performance mods too much.
If you run a complete full intake you will lose hp. The MAF without a tune will sense too much air and shut down the throttle opening percentage. You want to run the K&N pipe with drop filter. With full intake you can restrict the TB opening down to in the 50% - 60% opening range only range. Only if you have a Tune that adjust and fools the MAF will a Full intake work.
Yes, a tune is required for optimum performance for any modification. But the full intake I’m speaking of is after the MAF sensor, so not sure if it would doing anything to throttle opening. I wouldn’t mess too much before the TB. Stock system is pretty efficient, as far, as how the air initial gets into the intake. It’s after it gets to the TB is were it can use some improvement. Wouldn’t recommend doing more than a high flow filter and intake tube.

Ok you have a Intake Box, then pipe. Then there is the Intake Manifold. What Full Intake are you talking about?
Apologies about the wording. I’m referring to the modification of the entire intake system. Most mods are done from the filter up to TB. The missing link is from TB all the way to the heads. So, larger TB, then port matched upper/lower intake. Of course, this is considering you have a full exhaust setup + tune. The combo yields good power. Just say enough to keep up with a 10 speed 19 Camaro SS if not beating by 1/2 a car length.

What exhaust setup do you have? And where did you get you upper/lower intake and TB done? Tune? Nothing in your sig so I’m asking.
Tanabe Exhaust, GESI G Sport EPA hi flow Cats. Headers Ceramic coated and Titanium lava wrapped, not installed yet. My exhaust is not loud but is very deep and noticeable. Once I get it lower like I want. I'm going to change exhaust mufflers to a very high flow Loop muffler exhaust system I have sitting around.
Guy that does NASCAR Heads for years flow benched my Manifolds and TB. Can't give name. A acquittance that knows him sent them to him for me as a favor. You can find many many experienced engine builder that do head work and have a Flow bench to measure the flow numbers. I did because I wanted to make sure they were flowed and port matched. He did the TB also.
Should be interesting because I had the plastic Upper manifold done also. There is much restrictions and seam/lip blockage in the little restrictive upper plastic intake manifold, and over hang in there. Very bad for flow. No one I know has done the upper, at least that I have seen.
I just got my upper/lower done and from my visual comparison, it looks like your lower might be slightly more open than mine, and the opposite for the TB side on the upper intake….for my TB it will be bored out to 73mm with new valves to accommodate the new diameter.

The Headers are done that there is hardly any heat reflecting off them in the engine bay. Also the more insulated the better they flow hot gases also and for longevity and noise/sound reduction. Not the best wrap job in the world but it will work.
Yes the injector Bosses are at least 6-8hp if port smooth out correctly on the lower intake. My TB is smooth slight, so it is enlarged ever so slight. I wanted to retain as much Tq as possible is why I did not enlarge it too much. It also was Venturi funnel/cone shaped too. Once I get everything installed, I may go back and enlarge the TB, if it can be ECU tuned for it too. With you enlarging your TB and intake changes, you are going to need a Tune due to the significant air flow changes you will be making. What year is your GS?
Wrap looks decent. I will be wrapping my as well header all the back. Need to keep the rasp down. 🙂
I have a MY 13.

Maybe if they don't know their racing lol, 10 speed Camaros are running low 12s in the quarter. A FBO tuned GS350 is running low 13s at best. Lets try to keep fact and fiction separate in these forums.
