Since it’s a CPO it should have an unlimited mile warranty until 2022 sometime. The dealer can sell you an additional 5 years of unlimited warranty for around 2,000.
if it were me I would force them to pay for that extension. That is transferable and would alleviate you or a new owners concern.
TBH, the dealership insisted on getting that extended warranty for 3500 USD, I later canceled it and got the refund. How could I express what you suggested?
I'm a novice when it comes to dealerships.

cost is around 1700-1900 for 5 years/unlimited. I would push Lexus to cover that cost and maybe settle on splitting it. Up to you to negotiate. But I would like some peace of mind if it were my tranny getting swapped.
This is what happens when inexperienced person thinks they know better than Lexus and decides to change their own transmission fluid. If they get the level wrong it will cause damage to the transmission.
Did the dealership add transmission fluid to bring it back to the correct level?
Absolutely true. My local Lexus Service manger told me he went to the Lexus transmission factory in Detroit for training. He asked them what was the largest contributor to Lexus transmissions failing. The answer was changing the fluid that does not have to be replaced by using the wrong fluid and not the exact amount.

Agreed - you see a lot of clowns making "how to" Youtube videos that have zero clue. Lots of people with zero attention to detail like re-using crush washers (my pet peeve). They think everything is easy like doing an oil change. It's unfortunate for the owner of this car, but it sounds like the dealer is standing behind the issue.
Fluid level and following the correct procedure in replacement Is critical. However, I’m not quite sure why the change is recommended here in Canada and not to you guys.
