Default Weird radio issue

Just happened today. Randomly during a drive there were a few buzz sounds while driving listening to AM and FM stations. Just random and only last for 3-5 seconds. During this time, the radio station goes out. Then comes back on. Did this about 4 random times, then went out completely. Volume would not work. I drive home about 20 min drive and was able to test Bluetooth to my phone with success. Tested the AM/FM again and still not operable. Pulled into driveway and shut the car off to check fuses and the amp on the trunk. Nothing was wrong. Turned car back on and the AM/FM works fine. Anyone ever experience this?

Additional info: My wife had her phone connected to the USB port in the center armrest when this happened. Could this have played a part in this?

Is the fuse for radio lose?

Maybe wire or something else?

Is it under warranty?

Only AM/FM has the issue? Could be the antenna cables on the back of the unit. Volume may not work if there is no discernible signal -- never tested that.

It's easy to remove: pull trim pieces on either side of the center console, pull the trim around the ignition and radio, remove the radio.

Yes only FM and AM. This was only a one time fluke it seems. The radio worked fine before and since this incident. I'm going to see how it behaves over the next few days or weeks before I take any action.

I've had it happen to me a least 4 times, had the car for about 16 months now. The last time was the other day and after about a minute or two it just started working again as before, no idea why it happens.

Is your vehicle still under warranty? Maybe bring to dealer for the issue if so.

No it's a 2013, before the other day I can't remember the last time it happened...it's been a while.
