Default Brake Grease Locations?

Hey guys

I'm trying to find out in which locations to apply front brake grease on a 2013 GS350 AWD non-sport. Do you put grease in between the Shims? Everywhere? Does anyone have any input?

Thanks.

On both sides of the dark teflon-coated shims. You won't need much, just a tiny taste.

You don't need grease. The shims have an anti-squeal coating (the black side), but you need to make sure they are in the correct orentation.

I put grease on both sides of the shims and the top/bottom were the pad contacts the groove in the caliper(guide shims). Doesn't hurt to grease all the contact points(other than the pad part itself obviously).

I put a thin amount of grease where metal touches metal. Put too much and you risk getting grease on the surface of the pad that touches the face of the rotor, do not do that.

The service manual shows to put the dark grease included w the shim kits on the inner shims.
Every Toyota/Lexus I've owned advises the same.
