Default Tricks for feeding a RCA plug through firewall grommet

I've tried scoring the grommet a bit, fished wire hanger through, taped the heck out of it, but it keeps breaking at the tape. I'm going to try some vaseline on top, but I'm pretty close to cutting the end off and soldering it back on once it's fished through. Do you guys have any tricks?

Maybe a Chinese Finger Trap, which will enclose the RCA plug making it easier to pull it through a tight grommet hole.

Which is based on a wire mesh pulling grip. (below)

You're not going to get an RCA cable through, at least not through the one near the accelerator pedal where I ran cable. I was pushing a 5lb pound with 10lbs of excrement up a hill just getting 6x.22 core security cable through.
Just cut the head off and solder a new one on.

Yep, I ended up cutting and resoldering it.

I'm sure someone has come up with a new politically correct name we all have to use for these now I asked a Chinese colleague what 'Chinese burns' are called in China...just got a blank stare
