Okay, I just tested mine this morning and it was doing the exact same thing. It was blowing air to the windshield in Auto then change to feet and others as the car thinks is best and when the windows stopped fogging up.

So ur car is not broken, our GS is just so smart.

Yes you were 100% correct and I bet it has to do with rain sensing glass.
