You're probably right. I think what I was thinking was that drive mode changes how it functions but but it is always operating. When you turn on Sport mode the graphic shows that engine and transmission behavior change. When you turn on Sport+ mode the graphic shows the engine, transmission, steering and suspension changes. I remember seeing a table Lexus made showing the drive mode changes and those were listed. I probably made the error in thinking that AVS was not functioning in normal drive mode. Having said that, I can't tell much of a difference in suspension behavior in any mode.

It's all relative. I had an S3 before and my F Sport feels much more floaty compared to the S3.

2013 gs luxury rwd here. The ride is floaty and stiff at the same time. Road noise hasn’t been a factor for me. Was hoping for slightly better mpg. The steering in this thing is almost telepathic and the engine is silky smooth albeit a bit noisy on a cold start. I absolutely love my GS!
