New owner here. A few questions:

1. What are the intervals for transmission fluid changes?
2. How does remote start work?

1. On my 450h there is no recommended transmission fluid change in the owner's manual, your not supposed to touch it ever, there is also no dipstick. Its the same with the regular GS also, but some people who believe they have more expertise(*experts*) than the manufacturer take it upon themselves to change the transmission fluid themselves at whatever interval they reccomend to themselves.

2. To remote start if your car has it press lock button twice within two seconds then long press the lock button.

My GS has about 100k miles with original transmission fluid and I plan on never changing it ever. It's a different transmission than the regular GS, eCVT, and runs very smooth. I think the eCVT runs much smoother than the 6 or 8 speed automatic.

Now the *experts* will chime in about the transmission fluid and the thread turns into another debate, with all sorts of hoopla reccomendations. Prepair to hear the choir sing, lol!

Depends on which country your GS was delivered to(I can't see the location tab on my mobile). Check the service schedule that shipped with your vehicle to follow your importer's requirements. If it's missing you can download it from https://drivers.lexus.com/lexusdrive...nuals-warranty

US purchase. Lifetime transmission fluid? I thought Audi was the only company pushing this BS.

So if I press the key fob sequence nothing happens. I have the luxury package. Is it safe to assume remote start was never installed?

What year is your GS? Remote start is standard starting with 2015, but you need an active subscription for it to work.

The remote start via the app will only work on 15+. Yours will only have remote start if it was added, and it’ll be a different system. I’m guessing yours doesn’t have it.

Interestingly US delivered GS have a 'lifetime' fluid if you believe in such a thing. Search the forum and make your own mind up, nothing will be achieved by further discussion here.

You must not have the remote start ECU, I believe it was optional, my '12 4GS doesn't have it either.
