It's safe to assume so. Why would they send you something with a known issue that they have to fix anyways. Plus the fix is not hard to do if anything they will modify the existing harness prior to shipping. Beatsonic got back to me fairly quickly and sent me the instructions for the mod.

I'm curious about the other updates they plan to release soon.

They are apparently currently out of stock for the carplay/android unit. With this you don't ever have to waste money updating the factory nav. Android auto/apple CarPlay basically makes factory nav obsolete.

Is there a way of knowing whether my kit will for sure have this issue? I purchased the kit a couple of weeks ago but I have not had the chance to install it. I’d like to be sure it will be good to go before I take apart my car

May I ask what year your car is? Also might be good holding off the install for a few more days as we are finalizing the firmware with some updates.

You will need the new harness. I was not able to pull out your order using your screen name so please kindly email us at info@beatsonicusa.com and request the harness, and we will get it shipped out to you right away.

I have ordered the Lsailt model from Aliexpress which seems to be the preferred option.

Beatsonic released firmware updates that resolve the issues you guys had with screen resolution on the full screen display, also some other nice updates. Not to mention the fix so the aux works correctly.

@BeatSonic

On the 2013-2015 Lexus GS the screen resolution is nearly perfect, but the icons on the menu are slightly stretched vertically. It's not a major issue, but is this something that can be fixed? Seems like stretched vertically a few pixels.

Make sure you buy a mini USB cable for firmware updates, I ordered one on amazon for $5
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P0GI68M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P0GI68M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Everything nowadays is micro usb, Anything I did own that was mini usb is in a landfill somewhere. Beatsonic should include this cable with their kits.

Do you have to hardwire your phone in for this to work, or can it work via Bluetooth?

Also I used this to connect the beat-sonic unit to the cars factory USB port. That way AA/AC connect directly through the car USB like factory and you don't have to run another usb line. This only works for 2013-2015 GS with one factory usb port.

Yes there was an option to switch to RHD, so should work for your UK car.

This is a wired solution only, but I hear Beatsonic may be releasing a wireless version of this product next year. Yes it would be nice if the phone automatically connect to car android auto/apple carplay while it's still in your pocket.

Now what I don't know is if your a customer now will you have the option to upgrade to the wireless version without having to buy everything again.
