Default Headlights configuration issue

Valet parked my car the other night and like always they turned off the lights manually, I usually just put it back to its normal setting which is “Auto” and it’s fine. After that night , I’ve noticed that while on “Auto” the headlights stay on during the day , instead of just the DRL. Before, my headlights would turn off during the day and turn on when it became dark. The DRL’s would be on during the day and when locking/unlocking the car. Has anyone encountered this issue? I have tried every setting possible to get it back to how it was and nothing has worked. Tried to look in the forums but couldn’t find any issues similar to the one I’m having. Thanks in advance.

See if there's anything covering the light sensors on the middle part of the dash closest to the windshield. That little round thing on the dash.

I had a folder on my dashboard, guess that’s what the issue was . Thanks I had no idea the light sensors were there. Only problem that I haven’t sold is that the DRL’s are not turning on when locking/unlocking the car like they previously did

Is it dark out or in a garage, parking structure, etc. when unlocking? The DRLs only come on when it's dark. In the daytime, they don't light up when unlocking.

DRL only turns on when you put the car in drive otherwise it's off when you initially start it.
