I have a 2015 AWD GS350 F-Sport and looking to purchase a separate winter wheel package for those harsh Chicago winters. I recently pulled my other winter wheel set from a BMW 5 series (realize the hub size is different 5x120 vs. 5x114.3) but the Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires on there are 19x8.5 - 245/45/19 rubbers, would these fit my GS? Obviously I would need to buy new rims to fit this Lexus but would the tires be appropriate and work? Using the community Tools calculator and if I understand it correctly, they would work or do I need an offset adapter or would they rub?
Or another option was to keep my current OEM 19" wheels for winter usage and buy a new set of wheels for my summer set? What would you do or consider? Thanks
I don't think that 245/45 is going to work. The tire would need to be 245/40 to avoid rubbing/turning issues.
If you're truly going with a winter setup, you should get a tire with a little less overall size in terms of width and diameter. If you plan to get winter wheels i'd go with 18" wheels with a tire size of 235/45/18 or 17" wheels at 225/50/17. These smaller sizes are all Lexus OEM tire/wheel sizes that come on base model/premium models as standard equipment.

Suggest you sell the BMW wheels and tires on ebay or the BMW CCA site.
Remember that if you do get another set of wheels, you'll to get a set of TPMS sensors installed, and they will have to be re-registered to the car each time you switch them for winter/summer.
I had a set on my RC-F that would probably work perfectly for the GS as well. 245/40-19 Michelin X-Ice XI3 on Niche Misano wheels. Maybe 4000 miles on them - sold the car so Im selling the wheels too.PM me for more info.
