Default What happens if you push the pushbutton start while car is driving?

I have had some annoying friends in my car before and I always thought someone ******* would try to be funny and push my pushbutton start while the car is driving. I am curious, what happens with the car if someone did this?

Nothing happens unless it’s held down for, I think 3 seconds. At that point it’ll turn off the engine.

Nothing happens if you just depress the engine switch momentarily.

In an emergency situation if it becomes impossible to stop the vehicle in the normal way:
To stop the engine, press and hold the engine switch for 2 consecutive seconds or more, or press it briefly 3 times or more in succession.

Not sure what would happen to the car, but they would get a swollen eye from me.

Very interesting indeed...

So Teslas are out of luck in emergency situations like this.
