Default Replacing calipers

My 2013 AWD non fsport is approaching the 66000 mile service. Ive decided im going to do the work myself (the dealership wants $600 CAD for the spark plugs 😆 🖕&#127999. Ive never done the brakes before but it looks pretty straight forward. Im thinking ill replace all the pads and rotors but what about the calipers? They are pretty damn expensive and dont exactly wanna redo this job again. Has anyone replaced theirs or have anything to say about it?

There’s no need to preemptively replace calipers, if the pistons are moving freely, leave them alone. Even in instances where pins seize, which doesn’t apply on these cars’ front brakes, they can often be cleaned up.

Oh wow is that how much they want for a spark plug job? Ouch... I actually got got the spark plugs done myself and it cost me less than $90 for the parts and tools and about 2.5 hours of time. Brakes and rotors are fairly straight forward as well, just follow Dans video on YouTube. Search for DiyDan and it should come up.

While the 'service interval' may be 60k miles for changing spark plugs, there is no harm in not changing them...unlike other service items like engine oil, filters and various fluids. If you want to follow the recommended service intervals for spark plugs, that's perfectly fine...but those OE spark plugs will still be performing just like new ones far beyond 180,000 miles or triple the recommended service interval. Iridium spark plugs will last well over 200k miles with no diminish in fuel mileage or performance.

Replacing the spark plugs at 60k miles is 'Required under the terms of the Emission Control Warranty'. Therefore, if you are not concerned with voiding the Emission Control Warranty, then there is no need to replace the spark plugs. I personally would not replace the spark plugs.
