It depends what you're after.

If you're after comfort & quietness, go Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S Plus.

If after sporting luxury, go Michelin Pilot Sport 4S etc.

If after hardcore sports, then you may have to go for one of the full blown sports tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/3+ etc...
.

You have the last two lines switched...
The Pilot Sport 4S is their pure sport tire (Max Performance Summer). The A/S 3 is an all season tire (High Performance All Season) not sports. I've had them both, and the MPS 4S is in a whole other league!

What he said. All tires have a treadlife rating (300AA, 480AA, 600AA) - the smaller the number, the softer, stickier but short-lived the tire

Summer tires are usually 300 or less and all-season (AS) are higher like 450+

Michelins are generally more expensive vs other brands like-for-like but they rarely make a crappy tire - it's up to you if the extra price is worth it

Some tire size are rare and OEM-specific. When this happens, they tend to hose you on price. Check out tirerack prices to see what I mean (225/50 17 vs 235/45 18)

I'll go for Michelin if you want tires last longer.

“Bestâ€

Please elaborate some.

Best, as in...max performance (but shortest lifespan?). Or...Best reported ride quality? Best of both? Best price?

Besides Michelin and Bridgestone, anyone have any feedback on Yokohamas? Specifically the ADVAN Sport A/S?
