Default Fuel Light

How many miles can you get once the fuel light comes on? I know it depends on how heavy your foot is after the fact lol, but is there general mileage range.

Not a good idea to continuously run fuel that low if that's what you plan on doing. The electric pump needs a certain amount of fuel to keep the pump motor from overheating. I seldom run my tank any lower than a 1/4.

There's about 3-4 gallons left in the tank after the light comes on. That's about 60-80 miles (depending how aggressively you drive). Usually when I fill up the tank when the light comes on or when it's at 0, it stops a few gallons short of the 17.4 gallon capacity.

i believe gas capacity is 17.4 gallons. When I fill it up just as it hits 0 range, I can usually squeeze in about 15.4 gallons, so a 2 gallon reserve. Could be 25 miles in heavy stop + go traffic or 55 miles on easy hwy driving.

FWIW - I'm in a 2014 GS350 AWD
