Do your best to check everything possible now, to the point you are happy. Like any vibrations, driving straight with hands off steering wheel, rattles when hitting bumps.
I am sure the dealer can rebuild a solid car but there are a lot of pieces, anyone could miss something.

I noticed in the first pictures that it looks like the paint came off the hood and fenders where they were bent at close to 90 degrees.
Is that from the pressure of the impact? I would of expected some of the paint to be scratched off but not to be clean to what looks like primer.

Good Luck with he repair and watch out for those deer.

Thanks guys! If you can believe it the deer walked away causing this much damage. I got a chance to take a look in the engine bay yesterday and everything looked the way it looked when i brought it in. Several mechanical pieces had to be replaced like the radiator, AC Compressor, lines, and they did look newer than other engine pieces.

I drove it exceptionally hard while using it for work and couldn't feel any vibrations or shudders, wind / road noise seem the same.

Much to my surprise as well the impact did cause the paint to basically fall off.

i'm not sure if they did i do not have access to view the carfax. On the Lexus service history, it only says they replaced the bumper cover, headlamp and radiator support.

Which goes to show that with such a report (as the Lexus service history) it is providing a distorted and very misleading indication of the true amount of damage that really took place.

Damn, sure hope this isn't a total loss like said above... curious though, what did the dealer put you in as the replacement? How do you like it?

Sure did, i'm glad the car is back though. They were able to do an f-sport grille and fit everything to factory being it was a a lexus collision center. The workmanship was exceptional compared to other places i have had the displeasure to work with...

Default Diminished Value

Did you file a claim with your insurance company for diminished value? It would be a second claim you have to file with them. Most states allow for it as long as the accident isn't your fault, so if you don't ask, you usually won't get paid for it. I filed one for my car and have been gathering info on it to use in leverage with the insurance company. Google "diminished value" for your state and you'll see what it is.

I also had a recent accident with a deer, and my car was driveable afterwards. No airbags deployed and I wasn't hurt. I had $9k in damage in almost the exact same spot as you, though I was only driving 35-40 mph and it was dark out, and now I have a new bumper, grill, hood, passenger side front quarter panel and new headlight. The headlight alone was over $1700 just for the part. No damage to the engine area though they replaced the condenser because some parts of the grill hit into it (physical looking damage, but still worked fine). I paid the difference to get all OEM parts - an extra $300 over what my insurance would pay so it was a no brainer. All work done by Certified Lexus collision shop.

My dashcam caught the whole thing, but not sure how to post that large of a file (over 40mb).

Regarding vehicle history reports, AutoCheck is what most dealers use when buying used vehicles, so either ask for the report or get your own. Best to get a mechanic to check things when buying used because not all things are reported.
