Just tell the dealer that you have been seeing people getting 10k+ off MSRPS. I was in email contact with that dealer and when I told him that he seemed ready to negotiate. I just ended up going more local. Got exactly 10k off MSRP, but really $9400 because I got hit with a stupid dealer fee. of $600. Got 1.7% financing and acceptable price on trade. Wish I found this thread first, but have encouraged me to negotiated for more.

guess you live in states that required to pay full tax. TBH this month deal is really bad because of the residual and Mf. With that same car last mo at your state you would end up paying around $630, just saying.
With that same car I was offered $592/mo including tax zero out of pocket back in September in Cali. Too bad I didn't take the deal thinking December to remember would be better. Turn out dealer sold most of the 16s, the 17 is just so feshon the lot to have huge discount (bad time to lease a new GS). Now, I guess i will wait until next year and keep taking the bus to work 😂.

Yeah, well effen Georgia charges you 7% based on full value of leased vehicle, and then if you decide to buy it at end of lease you pay full value again. I would never buy the car at end anyway but with purchase at least if I trade it in I get tax credit value of trade in.

I guess I should've mentioned that the monthly payment of $656 was tax included (9%).

yes the $630 that I mentioned included tax! Last month Money Factor was .00110(2.46%apr) and this month is 0.00190(4.56%apr) the difference is ~$65 per month, despite $6,500 discount special you still end up paying more comparing to October $4,250 lease cash discount.

Texas does the same thing. But it's possible to get "tax credits" applied to the lease whereby you only pay 1-1.5% sales tax. Dealers have a certain amount available to them in any given time period, so it's a matter of shopping around and timing. Lexus dealers like to hold them for the December to Remember sales event.

Does anyone purchase the Select Care plan or something like that? It was like $1200 and it covered brakes and wiper blades, not sure what else. Dealer was trying to tell me that brakes would be almost $1k alone. When I said not interested, he replied "what, you don't like saving money?"

Any time a dealer says that, you know you're about to get ripped off

We're hearing a lot about the lease deals on this thread but, what kind of deals are "buyers" getting? It seems like discounts are all over the place.

purchase seem to be good with the 16s since you can get a huge discount.

Rates have went up for December to Remember program.
Even if you put MSDs rate is still high compared to October rates.
For month of October dealers in Southern California were calculating by .00060 MF (Without MSDs)
I think buying the car you will get big savings rather than leasing.
