Default Passenger Door Problem

Good morning,

Every time I go to my passenger side door to open the car, nothing happens. I have to grab the door handle on the back door in order to unlock the whole car. Even if I am close to the car with the keys in my pocket, it still doesn't open.

Does anybody else have this problem or is it that the passenger side door sensor damaged?

Thanks for any advise provided.

How old is the battery in the key fob? Try the simple stuff first...

Can you lock the car from the lock button on the passenger door?

My driver door handle has done something similar to me a few times in the past. Maybe it is the door sensor. Have the dealer take a look at it. It should be covered under warranty.

You can also check the settings in the car and see what it is set on.

I would take it to the dealership to look at it but I am out of warranty so I am looking to see if I have to replace the handle.

I haven't tried looking at the settings on the car but I will look at it now.
