The phone book in my new Lexus is infuriating. The Apple phone book has separate fields for first and last names and for company name. After I import the phone book and sort it by surname, this is how entries look:
I then tried duplicating the store’s name in the last-name field:
It may be that the last approach would work if I sorted on first name but then to find John Doe I would need to sort through 57 Johns. There is a reason that printed phone books everywhere are alphabetized by surname, not first name.

Is this design bug exclusive to the model I bought, a 2016 GS? Can anyone suggest a way to induce Lexus to issue a patch for the bug?

 

A workaround is:

First name: Variety Store
Last name: Doe
Result: Doe Variety Store
